#353, Leigh “Flipper” Morgan decided to check out the safety of her TOR/Volkspower Racing car and flipped it over. She and the car were both ok… just minor damage to the roof.
Escaping all injuries after taking a series of barrel roll during the practice session at the Chili Bowl was Conner Pullen.
2005 NASCAR Nextel Cup Champion Tony Stewart takes his first of two flips series during the Chili Bowl weekend. This crash happened during the first lap of Wednesday’s hot laps.
Taking a high flier during the Chili Bowl was Seth Wilson.
Joe Zierolf slams hard into the wall during Saturday’s Chili Bowl show and takes a hard series of flips. He walked away uninjured from the crash.

Clay Millican, the four-time defending IHRA Top Fuel champion at the time of this photo, experienced a complete blowover in his semifinal round against Bruce Litton. Millican was traveling at over 200 miles per hour when the front wheels of his ‘05 Hadman Dragster lifted off the ground at half track and did not stop. He ended up blowing all the way over before skidding well past the finish line before coming to a stop upside down.
IHRA safety personnel arrived at the scene within seconds and Millican climbed out of the car almost immediately. He was talking with the safety crew and the track doctor and was reportedly cutting up with the paramedics en route to the hospital, where he was taken as a precautionary measure.
